Science Museum Oklahoma will host David Payne’s Wild Weather Camps, and Payne and the News 9 weather team will work to prepare participants for Oklahoma’s often rocky weather conditions.
All are welcome to attend the 45-minute camp that will begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 20 at Science Museum Oklahoma, 2100 NE 52.
The weather team hopes to teach participants about severe weather development, proper responses to different weather scenarios and important weather safety practices. The team will explain how to react and prepare for tornadoes, floods and lightning.
The camp was designed for second- to sixth-grade students, according to a news release from Science Museum Oklahoma.
The camp cost is included with general admission to the museum, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
