ScienceFest was held Thursday at the Oklahoma City Zoo. The one-day event aims to foster scientific literacy while educating fourth- and fifth-grade students about protecting the environment, conserving natural resources and using alterative fuels and technologies.

Students were able to see a variety of exhibits, presentations and hands-on demonstrations from educators that were designed to show the importance of science and the environment.

ScienceFest is sponsored by the state's Commerce and Environmental Quality departments and OGE Energy Corp.
