Link, 45, also chairs the Florida Healthy Kids Corp., which provides health care insurance for children who cannot qualify for Medicaid, and serves on the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees.
The new board members can begin serving immediately, although their appointments are subject to later confirmation by the Florida Senate. The board meets next week at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Lautenbach's term is for six years, filling a vacant seat. The other new members have seven-year terms. Morton also is filling a vacant seat. The others are replacing Hector Perez, Gus Stavros and John Temple, whose terms expired this month.
Levine and Morton are the only new members who have graduated from one of Florida's 12 public universities. Levine has a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees from the University of Florida. Morton has a master's degree from Florida Gulf Coast University.
