Scottish Festival brings traditions to life in Yukon

The Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival in Yukon combines music and other aspects of Scottish culture.

The United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma got together Saturday for the Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival in Yukon.

Held every spring, the Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival is a family-oriented event that celebrates Scottish tradition with bagpipe music, dancers, food and displays of skill that range from fencing to the caber toss, in which participants hurl a large piece of wood as far as possible.
