Scottish festival set this weekend in Yukon

The Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival will feature music, dancing and food in Yukon

The Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival, a two-day celebration of Scottish history, culture, community and tradition, is set for this weekend.

The festival will include mass pipe and drum bands, live Celtic music and dancing, traditional Scottish food and contemporary treats. Scottish clan society members will be on site to share history lessons, and children can partake in crafts and games.

The festival will be at the Kirkpatrick Family Farm in Yukon, 1001 Garth Brooks Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission for adults is $5. Children 9 and younger can attend the festival for free.
