Sculpture to Honor Slain Postal Workers

EDMOND A simple yellow ribbon is the focus of a memorial sculpture by sculptor Rich Muni that Edmond officials plan to erect at the post office. It will be a memorial to the 14 postal workers who were slain in the post office massacre of Aug. 20, 1986.

Current plans call for dedication of the memorial on the second anniversary of the massacre.
Mayor Carl Reherman estimated the cost at $92,000 and said it will be raised through tax-exempt, private donations.
