Aug. 6, 1990: Sean Sutton transfers to OSU from a Lexington, Ky., junior college to play for his father, Eddie Sutton. Sean had played two seasons under his father at Kentucky.

March 1991: Sutton averages 10.2 points for an OSU team that loses in overtime to Temple in the NCAA Tournament East Region semifinals. It is OSU's first NCAA appearance in eight seasons.

March 28, 1992: In his last collegiate game, Sutton's 3-pointer pulls OSU to within a point of Michigan's Fab Five with eight seconds left in the NCAA Tournament Southeast Regional semis. But Juwan Howard steals Sutton's pass to OSU's Corey Williams and Michigan escapes with a 75-72 win.

June 2, 1992: Former OSU assistant Rob Evans hires Sutton to be his assistant at Mississippi.

May 21, 1993: Sutton replaces Bill Self, named Oral Roberts University's head coach, on his father's OSU staff.

April 1, 1995: OSU reaches the Final Four, falling to eventual champion UCLA and its star Ed O'Bannon, 74-61.
