Shane Jarka will join Chris Donaldson and Nigel Nicholas in Oklahoma State’s defensive tackle rotation.

Nicholas, a redshirt sophomore, is talented but undersized. He had 13 tackles, including two for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2009.

"Nicholas is a very, very athletic defensive tackle,” OSU defensive coordinator Bill Young said.

Senior Chris Donaldson was a solid contributor in 2009. He had nine tackles, including one stop for minus yards.

"Chris Donaldson is a guy with a lot of ability,” Young said. "His motor needs to run a little harder, but he has some tremendous talent.”

After Donaldson, Jarka and Nicholas, OSU is searching for someone to provide depth at defensive tackle.

"The concern is the next guy,” Young said. "We need to be two deep, and we’re not right now.

"We may have to move a defensive end, and we have some freshmen coming in. Anthony Rogers is in (that spot) right now, and he has to pick it up tempo-wise. He has a lot of ability (but) someone just has to say. ‘That’s my position’ and go with it.”
