Seattle is taking a stand.

At least one station in the city - KIRO TV - is, promising its viewers it will not say the words "Oklahoma City" or "Thunder" during its coverage of the NBA Playoffs.

Instead, the Thunder will be referred to as "the former Sonics," as seen in the graphic from Thunder-Clippers Game 1.

From KIRO 7's Facebook page: The former Seattle SuperSonics are in the NBA playoffs. Throughout their run, KIRO 7 promises you we won’t say OKC or their team name in our newscasts.

The station also links to a photo gallery with numerous photos from the SuperSonics' 1979 NBA Championship game and celebration.

"Relive the good times with us here," the Facebook page says.
