Second Dallas Cowboys player receives 4-game suspension for substance abuse violation Published: August 28, 2014

Safety Jakar Hamilton is the second member of the Dallas Cowboys secondary who will miss the first four games of the season due to a suspension.

The second-year player from South Carolina State is being suspended for a violation of the league's substance abuse policy. He will join cornerback Orlando Scandrick on the sideline.

Neither Hamilton or Scandrick will be able to practice with the team in the first four weeks of the regular season. Scandrick is believed to have tested positive for MDMA, also knowns as Esctasy or "Molly."
