Wednesday morning in Oklahoma City felt more like October than August. Shortly before 7 a.m., the temperature at Will Rogers World Airport was 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

And that temperature wasn’t the coolest in the state. Take a look at Mesonet’s coolest minimum temperatures for Wednesday:

Coolest Minimum Temperatures

2 – Vinita 53.5F 5:20 am
3 – Nowata 53.8F 5:30 am
4 – Jay 53.9F 6:05 am
5 – Cookson 53.9F 7:10 am
6 – Oilton 55.3F 6:35 am
7 – Foraker 55.3F 6:55 am

A cool morning in Oklahoma City should lead to a mild day. The National Weather Service’s Norman forecast office predicts a high of 88 degrees Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

Milder temperatures are expected to remain in the area through Friday before temperatures in the high 90s and chances for rain return over the weekend.
