ARDMORE - More than two dozen race horses confiscated during a raid at an illegal horse track in southern Oklahoma will go on the auction block later this month.

Twenty-nine horses, along with trailers, tack and equipment, will be auctioned at 1 p.m. on July 19 in Oklahoma City.
The animals and equipment were seized during a raid at the Red River Playground south of Thackerville last year.
More than 400 people initially were cited by officers, a number dramatically reduced in subsequent court proceedings.
An additional 13 horses could be added to the sale, and horse racing officials say many are quality-bred race horses with legitimate money earnings.
