Seminole Gospel Sing seeks talent

SEMINOLE - Frank Arnold Ministries and the Seminole Gospel Singing Association will sponsor the 31st annual Seminole Gospel Sing at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Aug. 18 at Music Park, a mile south of Seminole on U.S. 377.

On Aug. 18, a talent contest begins at 10 a.m. for groups of two or more as part of the activities.

Each evening will feature professional singers, including "Inspirations," "Hoppers" and "Karen Peck and New River."

Admission is $12 per night in advance or $13 at the gate. A three-night pass is $31. Admission for children ages 6 to 12 is $3 per night.

Cost of the talent show is $40 for entry or $3 for admission.

Tahlequah group wins contest

Southern Gospel group "Cross Road" from Tahlequah was awarded first place at the Crabb Family Homecoming 2001.

The group - Van Samuels, Andrea Samuels and Lin Maye - will record a 10-song project at the studios of Daywind Music Group.
