Seniors bring softball title back to Washington
Washington senior shortstop Kelby Roberson was already leaping in the air after she tossed the ball to second baseman Lauren Pittman to start a double play. Pittman threw senior first baseman Katie Curry a strike, and the celebration was underway for the Warriors.
Washington scored five unanswered runs to beat Adair, 5-2, in the Class 3A state softball championship Saturday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
