Two motorists and a bicyclist died after separate vehicle accidents on Oklahoma roads, authorities said.
• Casey Levi Hayes , 19 , Kellyville
Hayes died Tuesday night at the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Creek County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
At 9 p.m., Hayes was driving a pickup south on Maple Drive, about one-fifth mile north of Graceland Road, he lost control of the vehicle, troopers said. The vehicle hit a fence and flipped 1 1/2 times before landing on its top.
Hayes was trapped before he was freed by Kellyville firefighters.
Passenger Dillion W. Guinn, 18, of Kellyville was hurt, but refused treatment. Passenger Jeffrey K. Brumley, 18, of Kellyville was treated and released from a Tulsa hospital.
Troopers said not all occupants were wearing seat belts, but they don't know which ones were.
• David Lee Harrison , 46 , Enid
Harrison died this morning, about 10 hours after suffering injuries when a car hit him while he was riding bicycle in Garfield County, troopers said.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Duard Spleth, 84, of Waukomis was driving a car south on Oakwood Road, about three-tenths of a mile south of Wheat Capital Road. Spleth told troopers he looked down to adjust the air conditioning controls on the steering wheel when he rear-ended Harrison's bicycle, throwing Harrison from the bicycle.
Harrison was taken to an Enid hospital where he died at 3:30 a.m. today.
Spleth, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt.
• Francis D. Clemens , 67 , Tecumseh
Clemens died Tuesday at the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Pottawatomie County.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Clemens was driving a pickup north on Econtushka Road, a mile south of Moccasin Trail, when it went off the road to the left. Clemens overcorrected, causing the vehicle to land on its top and go off the right side of the road. The vehicle rolled one-quarter time, throwing Clemens from the vehicle before it landed on her.
Clemens was not wearing a seat belt.
