Series breakdown: Thunder 1-3 against Lakers in regular season

Thunder 91, Lakers 75
OKC buried the Lakers and a 12-game franchise losing streak to L.A. The Thunder led by as many as 33 points. Kobe Bryant sat out the fourth quarter with nine turnovers and 11 points. OKC’s outstanding defense held the Lakers to 39.2 percent shooting and seven assists, their lowest total since 1964. Thunder center Nenad Krstic turned in one of his best games, grabbing nine rebounds in the first quarter. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Pau Gasol played "soft.”

Dec. 22, Staples Center

Lakers 111, Thunder 108
Russell Westbrook gave Derek Fisher fits with 21 points and 13 assists before missing a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Kevin Durant scored 30 points before fouling out for the first and only time of his career. The Thunder, which led by 12 in the first half and trailed by 11 in the fourth quarter, fell below the .500 mark for the last time all season.

Nov. 22, Staples Center

Lakers 101, Thunder 85
A blowout best remembered for Kobe’s circus shot and an impromptu Black Eyed Peas concert. The Lakers scored 60 points in the paint and Kobe Bryant had 26, including an over-the-backboard, base-line basket. Kevin Durant scored only 19 points, attempting only one free throw. With the Lakers up 26 points in the fourth quarter, and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas sang "I Gotta Feeling” during a timeout alongside rapper B-Real and Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.

Nov. 3, Ford Center

Lakers 101, Thunder 98 (OT)
In one of his worst games of the season, Kevin Durant air-balled a 3-pointer at the end of regulation and was 0-for-5 from the field in the fourth quarter and overtime. He finished with 19 points. Thabo Sefolosha and Russell Westbrook missed 3-pointers later in overtime. Kobe Bryant, playing with flu-like symptoms, capped a 31-point performance with two free throws with 18 seconds left.
