Services set for Oklahoma soldier killed in Afghanistan

Funeral services have been scheduled for Army National Guard Sgt. Mycal L. Prince, 28, of Minco, who was killed Sept. 15 in Afghanistan.

Funeral services for Sgt. Mycal L. Prince, 28, of Minco, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at The Bridge Assembly of God in Mustang. He died Thursday when his unit was attacked by insurgents with small arms in Afghanistan's Saygal Valley. Prince is the 11th member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard's 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team to die in Afghanistan since July 29, and the 12th Oklahoman overall to be killed in that time period. He was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry. Prince leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
