Get your calendars out folks, because there are several good beer events coming up in the Oklahoma City area that you should know about.

(As an aside, if you missed the announcement earlier today that Founders Brewing is coming to Oklahoma, click here.)

Let’s start things off with today. It’s the third Thursday of the month, and that means it’s time for the monthly COOP Ale Works night at TapWerks.

The offering tonight is a Chocolate Coconut Imperial Stout. The fun starts at 6 p.m.

Other events:

-Marshall Brewing Co. is hosting a five-course beer dinner on March 5 at Packard’s New American Kitchen in OKC. The cost is $50. For reservations, call 605-3771.

-The Wedge Deep Deuce has scheduled its next local beer dinner for April 15.

-Choc Beer Co. is rolling out another version of its Oklahoma Pale Ale. Keep your eyes peeled for Red OPA.

-Mustang Brewing Co. is opening up its tap room from 4 to 7 p.m. this Friday to throw a pre-show party for the Turnpike Troubadours concert later that night.

-McNellie’s Norman has a couple events coming up: First, a special release of COOP orange blossom IPA will be on cask on Saturday starting at 6 p.m. Then, on Feb. 27, they are holding a Stouts and Porters Beer University. The cost is $25, and you can email jenny.price@mcnellies.com to reserve a spot.

-And last, but certainly not least, the big Prairie Artisan Ales tap takeover at TapWerks is set for Feb. 27, as well. Expect up to 15 different Prairie offerings on tap starting at 6 p.m.
