Sewage treatment plant construction begins in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY β€” Construction on the city's sewage treatment plant is under way and officials said they expect it will take about three years to complete.

The city's nearly 50-year-old plant was last expanded and renovated in the 1980s. Treatment plants typically outlive their useful life in about two decades, officials said.
