SHAWNEE — FireLake Grand Casino is collecting school supplies to benefit Positive Tomorrows, a school serving homeless and at-risk children in the metro area.
Items can be dropped off at the casino's customer service desk until Sept. 14. Those who donate a backpack, alarm clock, bed pillow or three packages of copy paper will receive $5 in free play from the casino. The casino is east of Oklahoma City on Interstate 40 at exit 178. Other items needed are child-size scissors, pencil sharpeners, pocket folders, wide-rule notebook paper, tablets, eight-count large crayons, pencils, colored pencils, washable markers, paper clips, calculators, erasers, school boxes and facial tissue.
