Shawnee to help homeless animals
A regional art show at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art in Shawnee will benefit a pet rescue group.
SHAWNEE — The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is partnering with Saving Pets at Risk to help homeless and abandoned cats and dogs.
Saving Pets at Risk (SPAR) is not a breed-specific rescue. It sponsors adoption fairs, foster homes and spraying and neutering clinics.
During the run of a special art exhibit from Nov. 10-25, the museum will waive admission for visitors who bring an item to donate to the rescue group.
