SHAWNEE — Nicholas Glen Birchett believed in standing up for others.
The 15-year-old Shawnee High School student once stood face-to-face with a bully tormenting a classmate and told him “We don't do that here.”
Birchett's friends recounted the incident to his grieving father Friday, after Birchett died from injuries he sustained in a car accident Thursday in Shawnee.
