Shooting in southwest Oklahoma City leaves man dead

A man was shot and killed Thursday in southwest Oklahoma City, police said.

A man was shot and killed Thursday during a confrontation with several people in southwest Oklahoma City, police said.

The shooting was reported about 5 p.m. in the 1200 block of SW 58, police Lt. Jason Samuel said.

The man — whose name was not released — died at the scene, he said.

Three people were detained for questioning and officers were interviewing witnesses Thursday night.

No arrests have been made, and police are not searching for additional suspects, Samuel said.
