At least two people were shot in northeast Oklahoma City, and police were searching for the gunman late Wednesday, police said.

About 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 1800 block of N Kelham Avenue and found “multiple victims” with gunshot wounds, police Sgt. John Stacy said.

Two people were taken from the scene in an ambulance, according to police radio traffic. Their identities and conditions were not available.

The shooter is thought to have fled the scene on foot, Stacy said. He was identified by police only as a black man.

Radio traffic also indicated that there were children in the home at the time of the shooting, and were being taken into police custody.
