Mandy Patinkin to guest star on ’Three Rivers’Emmy and Tony Award-winner Mandy Patinkin, a corneal transplant recipient, will guest star on "Three Rivers.” In an upcoming episode of the medical drama, which airs at 8 p.m. Sundays on CBS, Patinkin plays Victor, a Lou Gehrig’s disease patient who asks to be to taken off life support following a car crash so his organs can be used to save others. In 1997 and 1998, Patinkin received corneal transplants in his right and left eyes to correct keratoconus, an eye disease that impairs vision severely. Patinkin’s corneas were donated by the families of a 13-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. Patinkin won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Dr. Jeffrey Geiger in the series "Chicago Hope.” He won a Tony Award for his portrayal of Che in the Broadway production of "Evita.” "Three Rivers,” starring Tulsa native Alfre Woodard, is about a transplant hospital.
