Where he fits on the depth chart: Like most OU freshman linemen, Evans is more likely to redshirt than play right away.

Long-term impact: The Sooners will have a spot opening up at guard in 2010 following the graduation of Brian Simmons; Evans could factor into the rotation as early as then.
