Signing day suspense

A look at the recruits who remain in play for OU and OSU on signing day.

Replacing Fred Ross: The highest rated recruit and the first commit of Oklahoma State's class, Tyler (Texas) John Tyler receiver Fred Ross, changed his mind Tuesday night, committing to Mississippi State. That leaves the Cowboys with a hole in the recruiting class. Will they rush to fill it with an under-the-radar prospect? Try to lure another star? Hold the scholarship for next year?

Samples still considering Kentucky?: Another OSU receiver commit, Ra'Shaad Samples of Dallas Skyline, took a January visit to Kentucky, but there has been little talk of his flirtation with Mark Stoops' program in recent days. And the Wildcats landed a three-star receiver early last week, the third wideout in the class, so they might have given up on flipping Samples.
