Singers advance to OK City Star semi-finals

30 singers from 16 different cities move to the semi-finals of the OK City Star competition. The selected singers compete from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at State Fair Park.

Following open auditions in Tulsa, Edmond, Oklahoma City and Norman last weekend, 30 singers from 16 cities move to the semi-finals of the OK City Star competition. The selected singers compete from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at State Fair Park.

The semi-finalists include Blake Lillard, of Beggs; Amanda Hager, of Choctaw; Lauren Wardell, Lauren Hunt and Vahn Phollurxa, of Edmond; Sarah Finley, of Newcastle; Aloki Shah, of Norman; Anthony Foster, Ashliann Rivera, Beatriz Ortega, Evaneline Vournazos, James Chansonbat, Sunny Owens, Julia Scott, Katie Larson, Stephanie Rollins and Victoria Hazboun, of Oklahoma City; John Palmer, of Okemah, Kathryn Nessle, of Pauls Valley; Jessi McKenna, of Purcell; Willie Hill, of Tulsa; and Arielle Edwards and Victoria Pringle, of Yukon.

The semi-final round is free and open to the public. Judges will select 10 singers to move on to the OK City Star final round at 7 p.m. April 27 at Frederick Douglass Auditorium, 900 N Martin Luther King Blvd.
