I recently returned from the alumni event held by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Therese at Villa Teresa Convent today.
The sisters are celebrating their religious order’s 95th anniversary of ministry in Oklahoma.
I stayed at the reunion quite a while because everyone had so many sweet stories to tell about their time with the nuns at Villa Teresa School. There were parents with their children sharing stories about what it was like to attend the school and then have the privilege of enrolling their own kids there. When I left people were still playing games out on the lawn and looking at photo albums and yearbooks inside. The event was very enjoyable and I can’t wait to write the story.
Look for the story and pictures in The Oklahoman and NewsOK in the very near future.
