The remains were found by a local resident Sunday in a rural area of the county in southern Oklahoma. An exact location wasn't released.

On Thursday, authorities went back to the area and discovered other remains.

The unidentified remains were those of a white man who was 40 years old or older, who likely died one to five years ago, authorities said.
