UPDATE: Crew heads to Quapaw to inspect path of deadly Sunday tornado, National Weather Service reports

A survey crew from the National Weather Service is heading to Quapaw Monday. The damage from the deadly Sunday twister will be inspected.

9:45 a.m. QUAPAW — A survey crew from the National Weather Service in Tulsa is en route to Quapaw Monday morning, the weather service reports. The crew will inspect the path and damage of the deadly Sunday twister. The crew will try to gauge the intensity of the tornado that killed one person in Okahoma.

In central Oklahoma, winds will gust up to 31 mph Monday. There is a slight chance for rain Monday afternoon, the weather service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 74. West, northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 49. West, northwest wind 6 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 65. Windy with a northwest wind 17 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 41. North, northwest wind 11 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 63. North, northwest wind 15 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 39.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 68.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 43.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 72.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 49.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 75.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 57.
