Friday will be hot and windy with a slight chance of a morning shower in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 93. South wind 6 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 70. South, southeast wind 8 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 95. South wind 7 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 70. South, southeast wind 7 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 95. South wind 7 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 95.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 73.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 96.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 75.

Wednesday: Partly sunny and hot with a high near 97.
