A pleasant day is ahead in central Oklahoma after a slight chance of rain before 2 p.m..

Temperatures will be near 79 degrees with light winds.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 79. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 62. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 89. South, southeast wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 11 to 16 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely after 8 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy with a low around 68. South, southeast wind 14 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms likely mainly before 8 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy with a high near 81. East wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy with a low around 63.
