Slight precipitation won't stop ongoing Oklahoma heat wave Tuesday

Some slight sprinkles across central Oklahoma Tuesday won't do much to stop the ongoing heat wave.

Temperatures will soar past 100 degrees Tuesday afternoon, the 52nd day of record-breaking heat this year in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City forecast from the National Weather Service is as follows:

Tuesday: Isolated sprinkles before 1 p.m. Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 103. South, southwest wind between 9 and 13 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 80. South wind between 13 and 15 mph with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 104. South, southwest wind between 9 and 11 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 78. South, southwest wind between 9 and 11 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 99. South, southwest wind between 5 and 8 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 76.

Friday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 98.

Friday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 77.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 99.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 75.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 99.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 77.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 96.
