The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, a small liberal arts school in Chickasha, is considered by the magazine to be the Best Value among regional colleges in the Western United States.

Oral Roberts University — a faith-based private university in Tulsa — ranked among the worst in the nation for student debt after graduation.

The magazine reported that about half of ORU students graduate with debt, and of those, the average debt is $49,007.

"Of course we are concerned about our students graduating with debt," said Nancy Brainard, ORU's vice president of enrollment management. "When we work through the admissions process with our students we have counselors in place to work with them on their borrowing."
