Rural business breakfast set

STILLWATER — Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma Inc. will hold a free Business-4-Breakfast meeting from 8 to 9 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, 409 S Main. Startup group begins Nov. 13

LAWTON — The first Lawton/Fort Sill Entrepreneur Network meeting will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Great Plains Technology Center, 4500 W Lee Blvd., Building 100. It will be the first of a series of meetings planned to provide businesses with networking and business development opportunities. Both existing and startup businesses are invited to attend. REI executive receives honor

Tom Seth Smith, president and chief executive of Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, recently was named an Honorary Live Member of the Southern Economic Development Council’s annual conference. Smith has served as a SEDC board member, officer and chairman of the board in 2000. The designation is the highest award SEDC bestows and it recognizes individuals that have made significant contribution to the profession in one or more states in the 17-state SEDC region, which also includes the District of Columbia.
