UPDATE: Snow flurries blanket central Oklahoma Tuesday

Light snow has fallen in central Oklahoma Tuesday morning. Temperatures will be below freezing all day with light winds.

6:45 a.m. Icy spots ares being reported on some Oklahoma City streets, according to police radio reports. Ice is reported near Interstate 235 and N 36 and along Interstate 44 westbound at Northwest Expressway. Oklahoma City Community College will not open Tuesday until 11 a.m. Check NewsOK.com for updates.

6:05 a.m. Oklahoma City Schools will have classes Tuesday. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

5:05 a.m. Up to an inch of snow is expected in central Oklahoma Tuesday morning. A number of flights at Will Rogers World Airport have been canceled due to weather. Check NewsOK.com for updates.

4:40 a.m. Light snow has fallen in central Oklahoma Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will stay below freezing all day with light winds, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Scattered flurries before 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 29. North, northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
