Snow, holidays cause panic in Oklahoma City
Here’s a look at the week in metro news.
Weather. Snow arrives. Everyone panics.
Holidays. Christmas arrives.
Men panic.
Weaponry. Historical re-enactors celebrate the Christmas season by firing vintage cannons and pistols at Fort Reno. There’s no better way to celebrate the Prince of Peace’s birthday than with firearms.
Business. B.C. Clark Jewelers makes its famous jingle available as a ringtone. You might as well get the ringtone.
The song is already stuck in your head from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Fear. Fewer Oklahomans are worried about swine flu than in the past, according to a new survey. That’s how swine flu gets you. It lulls you into a false sense of security and then attacks!
Health. County health officials host a walk-through flu clinic at Will Rogers World Airport. Apparently some people are still afraid of swine flu.
Jail. Oklahoma County officials predict a new jail will cost more than $300 million.
Oklahoma County taxpayers predict that tax will never pass.
Weather. Oklahoma City street crews work nonstop through the holiday to clear the roads of a white Christmas.
Thanks a lot, guys.
Goodness. Some kind person dropped a 1-ounce gold coin worth $1,105 into a Salvation Army kettle. Santa is real.
