Snow in Oklahoma? The Hazardous Weather Outlook from the National Weather Service, Amarillo, Texas (coverage area includes Oklahoma Panhandle)

Wintry weather may be finding it’s way into the fall in areas of the Oklahoma Panhandle, according to the National Weather Service, Amarillo, Texas. Their coverage area includes the Oklahoma Panhandle and their “Hazardous Weather Outlook” posted today, shows, “Freezing or near freezing temperatures may occur early Wednesday morning across the western Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles.”

Their outlook showed that a light wintry mix or light snow showers will be possible across the western Oklahoma and the northwest Texas Panhandles late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

However, little or no snowfall accumulations are expected.
