Snow stops UCO's WinterGlow in Edmond

by Diana Baldwin Published: December 6, 2013

Some reports of up to five inches of snow in Edmond. Be careful out there. Officials say don’t go out unless it is necessary.

The latest closing is University of Central Oklahoma’s WinterGlow has been cancelled.

It is rescheduled for Jan. 17.

The rescheduling is due to the winter weather that continues to impact Edmond and the Oklahoma City metro area.

“WinterGlow is an event that the campus and the community look forward to each year, but the safety of our students and community members is paramount. With both of these things in mind we have opted to reschedule WinterGlow rather than cancel it completely,” said Courtney James, assistant director of Campus Activities at Central.

WinterGlow features an array of activities including arts and crafts, writing letters to troops with the Blue Star Mothers of America, train rides, face painting, caricature artists, games, photo booths and s’mores.
