Snow strands Hinson's S. Illinois team on side of highway Published: January 6, 2014

Southern Illinois' men's basketball team was stranded on Interstate 57 in Illinois because of blinding snow and planned on staying on the bus overnight Sunday night, according to SIU athletic director Mario Moccia.

Head coach and Marlow native Barry Hinson was not on the bus. He and two assistants went recruiting following the Salukis' 66-48 loss to Illinois State.
