NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say some subway service in Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan has been suspended due to a smoke condition.

The Fire Department described the smoke as "light" on Friday afternoon. But further details were not immediately available.

M train service has been suspended in both directions between Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn and Delancey Street in Manhattan.

The J and Z trains have been suspended in both directions between Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn and Broad Street in Manhattan.
