A contractor working on a bridge near NW 55 and Western accidentally drilled in a 12-inch water main Monday, leaving some nearby residents without water, Oklahoma City officials said.

Debbie Ragan, spokeswoman for the city's Utilities Department, said she didn't know how many customers have been affected and are without water.

Ragan said crews are on the scene, and they expect to have the pipe fixed by midnight and water service restored.
