TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Some Super Bowl fans trying to fly home from New Jersey are finding their flights cancelled due to a snowstorm.
But they generally seem to be taking it in stride — particularly if they are fans of the Seattle Seahawks, who routed the Denver Broncos.
Seahawks fan Mike McTigue found his flight home Monday from Newark to Reno, Nev., cancelled so he was looking to book a plane to San Francisco instead. The sporting goods distributor says he's just glad the weather at the game Sunday was mild and the storm held off until Monday.
Canadian Francois Emond of Alma, Quebec, also had his flight home cancelled. The Seahawks fan says it was a dream trip and great game and he didn't at all mind spending another night in New York City.
