Sonics' nickname might stay in Seattle

Possibilities included Thunderbirds, Thunderbolts, Tornadoes, Wind, Energy, Surge, Stallions, Roughnecks and Posse. "What's wrong with the Sonics?” Dave in Moore said. "The Oklahoma City Sonics has a good ring to it.” Joseph in Oklahoma City said, "Leave that tradition in Seattle. That is their nickname, and we need to have our own.”If you prefer your thoughts to appear in The Oklahoman's Opinion section, we encourage you to submit a letter to the editor.
