•Signing day: Coale, Capel and Stoops signed autographs before joining what amounted to a Sooner celebration in one of the major halls at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Museum.

Capel got a charge out of one item presented, a jersey from his alma mater, Duke.

"It was cool,” Capel said. "Brought back some memories. I wish I could still fit in it. I wish I was still in that kind of shape.

"Hopefully, in the future, we can have some people bringing Oklahoma jerseys. Some 23s (Blake Griffin) or Oklahoma 5 jerseys, Tony Crocker. Hopefully, we get to winning like that and get some of those.”

For Coale, there was nothing quite as interesting.

"Today wasn't very quirky,” she said. "A couple of mother of pearl items that were made into football helmet shapes. Signed a couple of those. A baseball.”
