Dale Willis, Bartlesville: “My disdain for the Irish is purely based on their unearned acclaim for the past 20 years. NBC contributed greatly to the mirage. Lou Holtz, Beano Cook, and the rest of the Irish PR team made the whole presentation a work of fiction. Mel Kiper gets an assist for his bizarre assessment of Notre Dame talent recently. In a sport full of amazing heartfelt success stories, it makes me throw up in my mouth a little to hear anything rah-rah about Notre Dame football.”

Randy Wyrick, Leander, Texas: “I offer two words: Preferential Treatment. From the media to the refs to the polls to the television moguls to the NCAA and to the BCS guys, Notre Dame gets preferential treatment far beyond what any other team gets (and you know how much I hate the Longhorns). It's not their record against OU (although that's a part of it), it's that they are above the rules and they are crammed down our throats by the media and the polls.”

Caymen Bishop: “I am a big OU fan, but I am not mad at the 1-8 record, or them snapping our losing streak, or because they're Catholic. I hate Notre Dame because they didn't let Rudy play until the last game. That just really frustrated me. JUST LET THE KID SUIT UP FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON!”
