Oklahoma stole a wrinkle out of Oklahoma State's playbook Saturday night, introducing the diamond backfield into its offensive arsenal.

A formation that got tailbacks DeMarco Murray and Roy Finch and fullback Trey Millard on the field at the same time.

A formation that produced three of OU's first four touchdowns.

But a formation that may be lacking a key component next weekend for Bedlam.

Clouding OU's resounding 53-24 rout of Baylor was a fourth-quarter injury to Finch, who went helmet-to-helmet with Bears safety Ahmad Dixon. Finch immediately lost control of the ball, pushed his helmet off his head and lay on the turf for several minutes before being helped off the field by the training staff.

“They say he got knocked out,” said offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. “Talking to one of the doctors, (he) didn't think it was bad. I don't know if it'll be a prolonged deal. It didn't sound bad. But again, come Monday, Tuesday, we'll see.”

Coach Bob Stoops said after the game he was “unsure” of Finch's status next week.

“Okie State's been doing it and looked good,” Wilson said. “So we just added it, trying to take advantage of the two tailbacks and Trey.
