With the 2013 season coming to a close Monday night, plenty of people are already turning their attention to the 2014 college football season.

There are few places where the season is more anticipated already than at Oklahoma after the Sooners pulled off an upset of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl with the help of a fantastic performance by quarterback Trevor Knight.

Several sites, including ESPN, USA Today, NBC’S College Football Talk and CBS Sports have already released early rankings for next season. While NBC just ranked its top 10, the others listed a top 25 for next season.

Oklahoma came out in the top 10 (and as the top team in the Big 12) in all but one of the rankings. The Sooners are No. 4 according to College Football Talk, No. 8 according to both ESPN and USA Today and No. 13 by CBS Sports. When the rankings are combined, the Sooners come in tied with UCLA for the No. 7 spot.

Here’s what College Football Talk, the site that ranked the Sooners highest, had to say about OU:

4. Oklahoma – No one should’ve been that surprised by OU’s upset of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. It’s Oklahama, after all. This is a program that is always loaded with talent. Quarterback Trevor Knight showed glimpses of a bright future against the Tide and could develop into one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country in 2014. The Sooner defensive front seven is an elite group on par with those units from the early Bob Stoops era.

Oklahoma State is ranked in just the CBS rankings, coming in at No. 19.

Here’s a look at the composite rankings and each individual rankings:
