Now that quarterback Sam Bradford is coming back, the Oklahoma coaching staff is working hard to get him at least one more target to throw to.
Among the four-star wide receivers the Sooners are reportedly trying to snag are Mississippi State commit Chad Bumphis (Tupelo, Miss.), Illinois commit Terry Hawthorne (East St. Louis, Ill.) and Auburn junior-college commit Cameron Kenney (Garden City, Kan.). The Sooners are also in on the nation’s No. 1 wide receiver, Rueben Randle, who has listed OU among his final five schools with just over two weeks until signing day. OU has just one wide receiver commitment (Jaz Reynolds) after Eric Ward recently switched his verbal from OU to Texas Tech.

Should be an excellent recruiting class and another outstanding football season in 2009. 3 Big 12 Championships in a row, maybe a 4th?
You are a fricking idiot. Stoops has had nowhere near the talent or depth that Switzer had as a coach. Now do something useful like wash some clothes or iron some shirts. PS Hope you enjoyed the Holiday Bowl!!
20 or so of UT's bowl wins have been in Texas in the Cotton, Bluebonnet, Sun or Alamo Bowls and its only Big XII Championship in 12 years took place in Houston. 24 of USC's bowl wins have been in its backyard and it does not need to play a championship game in the frigid night in Missouri.
McCoy and UT barely beat a Ohio State team that would have been 8-4 at best in the Big XII Conference and dominated UT most of the game. OU took a FU team with what essentially was a home field game tied until the late fourth quarter.
Further, as poorly as Sam Bradford did in the first two years, throwing for 86 touchdowns, which is better than any quarterback has ever accomplished, he may do worse next year and still have a great year. Tebow's second year his team went 8-4 and lost a bowl game. But Tebow's raising people from the dead and touring as the blustering Gaston in "Beauty and the Beast" put a damper on his wins and losses although he was able to glorify himself with the Heisman win as a sophomore.
top10, ballyhoo'd recruiting class's in his short 10 year career than Switzer has in 16, but
there is one exception. Barry got the most out of his players when it counted, and didn't
have to rely on the press to cover for him when he failed. Where are all these critics when
Bob blows another BCS game? The real money pit is that football coach, Capel is earning
his keep. If Capel wins the Big 12(mediocre) basketball conference, goes to the dance and
wins a couple in his third year, that will more than equal Stoops output. Stoops has backed
into 2 big 12 titles in the last 4 years, and it showed. Can't win the big game. Ballyhoo'd
recruiting class's, but still can't finish the deal. He's winning the Big 12 title almost every
year, and as we all saw the Big 12 is a mediocre conference, when lining up against another
conference. Whats the problem Sooner Fans?
